HumaniFAI provides research led consultancy focused on how people interact with AI enabled systems. Our work examines how AI influences human performance, decision making, trust and organisational functioning in complex socio technical environments.
We do not offer product development or system build services. Instead, we support organisations by generating independent, evidence-based insight that informs system design, deployment decisions, assurance activities and governance arrangements.
We conduct applied human factors research to understand how AI systems interact with human cognitive capabilities, limitations and social contexts. This includes analysing tasks, workflows and decision processes to identify where AI supports human capability and where it may introduce risk or unintended consequences.

We design and conduct evaluations to examine how AI systems are used in practice, including how outputs are interpreted, trusted, questioned or overridden. This work supports understanding of performance, error, workload and reliance, and is often used to inform assurance, procurement or deployment decisions.

We examine trust in AI systems as a dynamic and context dependent process. This includes understanding how trust forms, how it degrades following system failure, and how it may be recovered after significant loss of capability. Our work in this area informs training, design and governance approaches that support appropriate use rather than blind reliance.

We contribute human centred evidence to AI safety and governance activities. This includes supporting the interpretation of AI safety guidance, examining how human oversight operates in practice, and identifying gaps between policy intent and operational reality.
